Security Park Pump Station – Electrical System Upgrade

The overall project consisted of supplying, delivering, and installing a new pump station electrical motor control center (MCC), switchboard, service meter, and all associated site electrical conduits and conductors required to connect the new equipment to the existing/new onsite equipment; as well as connecting the existing relocated programmable logic controller (PLC) to the new PLC terminal blocks. The work also included supplying and installing new instrumentation, all site concrete, site demolition, and steel canopy construction. SR Diversified (SRD) was responsible for coordinating project construction and schedule with California American Water and the Sacramento Municipal Utility District (SMUD) regarding the installation of the site secondary conduit and conductor from the existing SMUD transformer to the MCC service meter. SRD installed all secondary power and control conduits from the MCC to the pump station equipment and lighting. To allow for the installation and construction of the new electrical equipment, SRD demolished, removed, and disposed of a “lean-to” structure connected to the existing pump room and the existing electrical equipmentin accordance with all Federal, State, and/or County requirements.
